Passaggio - stone markings
for a walk through time
Comprised of various configurations of 33 marble discs, this sculpture
installation has taken many forms for the various sites in which
it has been displayed --- whether under the low light effects
of a museum hall, in concert with grave markers or placed on the
living carpet of green grass in a formal garden
The exciting space of the Nasu Stone Plaza Museum,
the old stone warehouse and new exhibition space designed by architect
Kengo Kuma rise up from an ever-changing watery surface,
inspiring my imagination as stone becomes water lily, cloud or
moments in time.
My heart is in my work --- and both await your visit.
